Are you interested in the Catholic Church?
Do you have questions about becoming a Catholic or about receiving a sacrament you may have missed?
See what we have for you! We will be providing “Come and See: an evening of inquiry” at various parishes in the region throughout the year. Attending these evenings does not obligate you to anything more. We simply want to provide you with an
opportunity to “Seek, Knock, Ask.” Maybe you know someone who would answer “yes” to one of these questions. Why don’t you pass on this information to them? Better yet, invite them to attend and come with them.

Here are the dates, times and locations. Everyone is welcome!

BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY
If you have ever had the experience of suffering the loss of a family member or other loved one, you know first-hand what
the experience of having to plan for an appropriate way to remember the deceased.  One of the corporal works of mercy is to
bury the dead (cf. MT 25:34. Given that the Christian community takes seriously its duty and obligation to the bereaved, St. Agnes parish will explore the formation of a Bereavement Team. The function of this team would be to help the bereaved in
many of the aspects of preparing themselves and their loved ones for the Funeral and Burial Rites.  Team members would help families plan the wake and funeral rites, facilitate the after-funeral mercy meal, serve as lectors, EMC’s, Altar Servers, Music Ministers etc.

Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World

Click here to see the link to the Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World, one of the many documents of Vatican II that I will refer to in the pastor's paragraph for Christmas and New Year.  It is the 40th anniversary of the Council and given the re-organization for mission ongoing in the diocese this will be a good document to become familiar with.
